Probably because of the variety of worlds people come from. Some people come from worlds where abilities and such are common.

People are asswipes. I'm surprised they didn't find a way to discriminate certain abilities versus others somehow.

People do suck, I will give you that much.

But I don't think that kind of thing'll happen here. If it does, it's probably because something weird's going on in town.
